David Norman Barbee was born in Arlington on August 18,1967, and passed away August 8,2023, in Phil Campbell, Alabama, where he resided with his wife, Marcy, and grandson, Zander. David was the youngest son of Sylvia Jo Burnett Barbee and the late Ernest (Ernie) Gerald Barbee of Canton.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Emory, who came into our lives on Monday, Sept. 4 and departed this world on Friday, Sept.

Services for Janelle Burgess was held on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at Hilliard Funeral Home with a graveside service that followed at Sand Flat Cemetery.

Services Larry Michael Milton, 70, was held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church on Sep. 15, 2023, in Edgewood.

Funeral services for Roger Leland Smith, 76, of Greenville, formerly of Edgewood, were held Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Marline Randall, a resident of Las Vegas since 1996, passed away at her home on March 4, 2023, after a surprising recurrence of aggressive cancer. She worked with CCSD at Rancho High School before retiring in 2016.

Celebration of life services for Milton Leo Baker, 88, of Canton was held at 10 am Friday, September 8, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Allen officiating.

A Gathering and Celebration of Life service was held for Brenda JoAnn Chriss Peden, 81, of Mesquite, Texas starting at 10 a.m. with a sharing of memories at 11 a.m. Appetizers and Refreshments were served during the service. The family welcomed and encouraged stories of Brenda during the service.

Floyd Glynn George was born on July 5, 1929, to parents Floyd Cleburne and Lillie (Hill) George. He passed away March 22, 2023.

A celebration of Joe Bob Wilson’s life was held on September 1, 2023, at Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. The visitation period began at 9 a.m., offering a chance to honor his memory and draw strength from the presence of loved ones during this time of mourning.
