Funeral services for Roger Leland Smith, 76, of Greenville, formerly of Edgewood, were held Thursday, Sept. 14, 2023, at Hiett’s Lybrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Marline Randall, a resident of Las Vegas since 1996, passed away at her home on March 4, 2023, after a surprising recurrence of aggressive cancer. She worked with CCSD at Rancho High School before retiring in 2016. She was born in Long Beach, California, in 1949, to Zane Eugene Heitsche and Lola Fay (Bates) Heitsche.

Celebration of life services for Milton Leo Baker, 88, of Canton was held at 10 am Friday, September 8, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Allen officiating.

A Gathering and Celebration of Life service was held for Brenda JoAnn Chriss Peden, 81, of Mesquite, Texas starting at 10 a.m. with a sharing of memories at 11 a.m. Appetizers and Refreshments were served during the service. The family welcomed and encouraged stories of Brenda during the service.

Floyd Glynn George was born on July 5, 1929, to parents Floyd Cleburne and Lillie (Hill) George. He passed away March 22, 2023.

Funeral services for Effie Nell Phillips, 94, of Mesquite, formerly of Wills Point, was scheduled for Tue., Sep. 5, 2023, at Hiett’s LyBrand Chapel in Wills Point. Burial followed at Union Grove Cemetery, FM 751 outside of Wills Point.

Services for Loyd Keith Plaster, 59, of Canton, were held Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. David Fretwell officiating.

Funeral services for Inez Wade, are scheduled at noon on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Russell Memorial Methodist Church in Wills Point. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour to service time. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Mattie Inez Hunt Wade was born October 3, 1924, in Mount Enterprise and died August 25, 2023, in Opelika, Alabama. A native of Texas, she was born to Herman Ross Hunt and Nora Belle Hunt October 3, 192, in Mount Enterprise (Rusk County).
