Martha S. Platter, 82, of Wills Point, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at her residence.

Martha was born on March 13, 1940, to the late Elbert and Florence Cunningham in Wills Point. She spent all her life as a resident of Wills Point. She graduated from Wills Point High School with the Class of 1959. Martha married her late husband, Calvin Platter, on May 22, 1959. She worked for Malouf Manufacturing for 18 years and then worked at Walmart for 18 years retiring in 2017. Martha enjoyed gardening and spending time in her flower beds.

Martha is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, and one sister.

Martha is survived by her son, Steven Platter and wife, Anita, of Wills Point; daughter, Susan Pruett and husband, John, of Wills Point; grandchildren, Justin Platter, Danielle Vasquez, Garrett Platter, and Kadence Pruett and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Rylee, Emma, Jade, Callie, and Emory.

Graveside services were held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Haven of Memories in Canton.
