Services for Jean Shipp, 80, of Canton, were held Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. Interment was in Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler.

Mrs. Shipp passed away Oct. 13, 2021, in Dallas. She was born Aug. 27, 1941, in Kaufman to Troy Leon and Murline Ebna Prueitt Shiflet.

Jean was a Baptist by faith. She was a strong willed and a very determined person. Jean loved taking care of children. She was very sociable and enjoyed hosting people at her home.

Mrs. Shipp is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dorman Shipp; son, Terry Lee Shipp; parents, Troy and Murline Shiflet and brothers, Billy and Johnny Shiflet.

Jean is survived by her five sons: Duane and Rhonda Shipp of Canton, Ricky and Veronica Shipp of Canton, Ronald Shipp of Palestine, Allen and Sharon Shipp of Idaho, and Chase Shipp of Kaufman; daughter, Norma Sandy of Canton; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; four brothers: Don, Elroy, Willy, and Jimmy Shiflet and five sisters: Magaline Walker, Evelyn Hibdon, Annie Sandlin, Lou Williams, and Bobby Reynolds.

Pallbearers were Josh Shipp, Terry Shipp, Kevin Shipp, Garrett Shipp, Dalton Shipp, and Gavin Shipp.
