Helen Marie Tapp, 91, of Wills Point, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022, in Rockwall at Rock Ridge Senior Living.

Helen Marie Walter was born on Aug. 3, 1931, in Dallas, the daughter of Frank and Janie Walter. She grew up in Dallas, moving to Wills Point in 1995. Helen married her late husband, Harley Tapp, on Sept. 17, 1954. Together they shared 56 years of marriage until his passing on Aug. 17, 2010. Helen worked at Sears for 50 years. She attended Russell Memorial United Methodist Church and held a membership with First Baptist Church in Wills Point. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper, drinking coffee, and shopping at estate sales.

Helen leaves behind her daughters, Debra Michaels and husband, Bryce of Wills Point, and Carol Miracle and husband, Rusty, of Wills Point; grandchildren, Jaime Fuxan and husband, Stuart, of Wills Point; Jennifer Butler of Waxahachie; Scott Miracle and wife, Lauren, of Dallas, and Kelly Begley and husband, Nic, of Grand Prairie; great-grandchildren, Reece Ann Fuxan of Wills Point; Rylea Marie Butler of Waxahachie, and Ryan Michael Butler of Waxahachie, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.

Services were held for Helen Marie Tapp on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church. Family accepted guests one hour prior to services.
