Services for Earl Duane Curry, 84, of Canton, were held Monday, June 30, 2025, at Eubank Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Burns officiating. Interment was in Haven of Memories.

Mr. Curry passed away June 25, 2025, in Grand Saline. He was born on September 6, 1940, in Athens to L.E. and Oleta Hopson Curry.

Earl gave his life to Christ many years ago. He attended Victory Church and was a member of the Castillian Lodge #141 AF& AM. He was a Mason for over 50 years.

Earl worked for Lone Star Steel for 30 years and was also a brick mason. He laid brick on multiple structures in Van Zandt County.

When Earl wasn’t working, he enjoyed watching all the local sporting events and traveling with his lifelong buddies.

Mr. Curry is preceded in death by his parents, L.E. and Oleta Curry; wife, Lois (Joni) Curry; son, Duane Curry; daughter, Lou Ann Curry; sister, Pauline Buckner; three brothers: Billy Jim, Royce and Bobby Joe Curry; two great grandchildren: Olin and Foster Wood; and stepdaughter Leisa Huffman.

Earl is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Frank Elliott; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Hawa Curry; two stepsons: Mack London and Mark London; four grandchildren: Casey Wilkerson and husband, Josh; Morgan Elliott Wood and husband, Jeff; Isla Curry and Ava Curry; five great grandchildren: Katie Wilkerson, Jake Wilkerson, Ellie Wilkerson, Gus Wood and Birdie Wood; step-grandchildren: Jacob London, Zachary London, Cody London, Jamie King, and Nathan Huffman; caretaker and niece, Tina Stokes; and other nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers were Stan Fantich, Wayne Jeter, Raymond Scott, Don Barrier, Pat Reed, Jerry Burns, Carlos Mora, Charles Page, and Ron Fields.

A special thank you to the wonderful nurses and CNAs at Azalea Trails who helped take good care of Earl in his final days.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
