The Van Zandt County Aggie Club held their 2025 Aggie Muster Ceremony Monday, April 21 at the Old School Museum in Grand Saline. There were 27 Aggies and 16 guests in attendance, some coming from as far away as Kansas.

There will be a property tax appraisal protest workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

City of Van Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Executive Director Tammy Weidman announced plans for the city’s June Jamboree Shop Van promotion.

Stronger Together: A 10-Year Tornado Remembrance Reception will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, May 10 downtown at The Movie House located at 255 West Main Street in Van.

The City of Van and the Van Zandt County Historical Commission will be sponsoring a Historical Marker Dedication Ceremony for the Railroad Spur Line to the Van Oil Field, 1930-1964. The ceremony will take place from 10-11 a.m.
