Historical Commission receives recognition

Once again, the Van Zandt County Historical Commission has been recognized for their outstanding work by the state as the Texas Historical Commission has named the VZC Historical Commission as the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for 2024.
The Van Zandt County Historical Commission was recently named as the recipient of the 2024 Texas Historical Commission Distinguished Service Award. The members of the VZC Historical Commission, including Chairman Elvis Allen, were recognized by VZC Judge Andy Reese on their achievement during the regular meeting of the VZC Commissioners Court July 16.
