davidb@vanzandtnews.com Prior to a scheduled meeting that took place at Canton City Hall Jan. 16 regarding potential Van Zandt County Road and Bridge Tax distributions for cities in VZC, Van Mayor Ernie Burns presented an update on the topic to the Van City Council during its regular monthly meeting Jan. 8.

The Edgewood City Council convened on Jan. 12 where various topics were discussed, including community initiatives, infrastructure projects, and municipal leadership changes.
