Shots fired: Woman succumbs to gunshot wound

One person has died after a shooting involving a Van Zandt County woman and deputies from the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s office. Van Zandt County Sheriff Steve Hendrix released a press release noting that a 38-yearold woman fired on deputies, which ultimately lead to her death.

That success was put into sharper focus this week as Martins Mill completed a perfect run through district play, a 17 th consecutive district championship and their 170 th consecutive district win all on the same.
