UIL to release district realignments Feb. 1

davidb@vanzandtnews.com High school administrators, athletic directors, and coaches in Van Zandt County and across the state of Texas will be anxiously awaiting word on what district realignment will look like for the next two school years as the Texas University Interscholastic League is scheduled to release information at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1. District realignment is announced every two years by the UIL.

Vandals, Eagles represented on All-District football team

In a case of animal cruelty, the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) of Texas, in collaboration with the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office, found 10 dogs, allegedly subjected to cruel treatment, on a property near Wills Point on Jan 16.
