The Van Zandt County Aggie Club held their Annual Aggie Muster at the Van Zandt County Country Club in Canton on April 21. Approximately 40 Texas A&M graduates, family members, and friends gathered for a meal, fellowship, a program, and to honor the memory of three former A&M students who died during the past year.

Scott Snodgrass, 52, is married to Chris Snodgrass. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and serves as director of engineering for nTact.

davidb@vanzandtnews.com Following a recommendation by Van Zandt County Pct. 3 Commissioner Keith Pearson, the VZC Commissioners Court approved supplying the Edgewood Fire Department with radios for the new VZC radio emergency system that is currently being installed.

As part of an ongoing strategic initiative to market the Van community to visitors and potential new businesses.

A software upgrade to the Van Zandt County Financial Package received unanimous approval by the VZC Commissioners Court during its regular meeting April 24. The upgrade received approval from the commissioners’ court following a presentation by VZC Auditor Sandy Hill.

The 73rd annual National Day of Prayer is scheduled for Thursday, May 2. The event will be held at the Van Zandt County Court at Law Courtroom inside the VZC Courthouse in Canton with the prayer service beginning at 12:15 p.m. and continuing until 12:45 p.m.
