At the conclusion of the open session during their regular meeting April 7, the Van Zandt County Commissioners took time to recognize their VZC Commissioners Court Administrator. Keegan Caldwell received a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ from VZC Judge Andy Reese and the commissioners’ court for five years of service as the VZC Commissioners Court Administrator.

Groundbreaking held for McDonald’s in Van

Representatives from McDonald’s were joined by members of the Van City Council, along with board members from the Van Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Van Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Board and special guests in breaking ground on the new McDonald’s location April 3. The expected date of completion for the new fast-food restaurant located on FM 314 next to Taco Bell near Interstate 20 is scheduled to be sometime between mid-July and the first of August.
