August 5, 1936-October 8, 2025 Funeral services for Mary Parker, 89, of Wills Point, were held Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Edgewood. Burial was held at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

July 13, 1955 – October 2, 2025 Mark Calley, 70, of Tyler passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Mark Allen Calley was born on July 13, 1955, in Tyler, the youngest of five children, to parents Clifford Roland Calley and Peggy Mayree Friloux.

May 15, 1947 – September 26 Sherley Jo Baugh, 78, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Cove, Texas, surrounded by her family on September 26, 2025. Born on May 15, 1947, in Edgewood, Sherley was raised in a loving home and graduated from Edgewood High School in 1965.

City of Grand Saline Public Safety Director/Chief of Police/ Fire Chief Jeremy Barker confirmed through an e-mail to the News Oct. 14 that there was an arrest made following the Edgewood/Grand Saline varsity football game Oct. 10 at Indian Memorial Stadium in Grand Saline.
