VZC Courthouse to host ‘Bells Across America’ program

The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Neches River Chapter in Van Zandt County will be hosting ‘Bells Across America’ as VZC will be honoring the United States Constitution. The program is scheduled for 2:45 p.m.

Bridge demolition set for Sept. 7-8

The demolition of the old bridge at the intersection of Interstate 20 and FM 859 in Canton is still on schedule for the weekend of Sept. 7 and Sept. 8, according to Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Tyler District Public Information Officer Jeff Williford.

Running Eagles participate in the Mineola Invitational

The Canton High School Running Eagles ran at the Mineola Invitational on Friday, August 30. In the Varsity Girls division, Mikela Smalling led the way finishing 15th out of 130 runners with a time of 13:03.
