Van Zandt County has been approved for federal assistance from FEMA for the recent storms between April 26, 2024 - June 5, 2024. FEMA has opened a Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) for any resident, renter and/or business owner who suffered damage during those storms.

BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Due to the weather forecast, TxDOT (Texas Department of Transportation) has postponed scheduling a closure on Interstate 20 in Van Zandt County until Monday, July 15. The closure will affect the FM 859 bridge, north of Canton, from 9 p.m.
