A former Wills Point ISD teacher was arrested and booked into the Van Zandt County Jail June 20 before being released on the same day. Amanda Blakely Green, 36, of Kaufman, was charged with two counts of online solicitation of a minor by sexual conduct and possessing child pornography, according to the VZC Sheriff’s Office.

May 2, 1935- June 18, 2024 Patricia Bradley Knight went to be with our Lord June 18, 2024. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 2, 1935.

May 13, 1944 – June 14, 2024 A graveside service was held for Loyd “Decker” Easley, 80 of Canton on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Haven of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home. Decker, as he was fondly called by family and friends, went home to the Lord on June 11, 2024, in Canton.

December 20, 1929 – June 10, 2024 Mary Jo Wilson-Cherry passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2024, at the age of 94 with family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leo Wilson and Raymond Cherry; son, Ron Slay, brothers, Forrest and Marvin; sisters, Charlene and Bobby; and great-great-granddaughter Kyla Lanae Couch.
