Newly elected Texas House District 2 State Representative Jill Dutton will be sworn into office in a ceremony scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, in the Van Zandt County Courthouse District Courtroom. Dutton will be sworn into office by U.S. District 5 Congressman Lance Gooden.

The Wills Point Police Department and the Canton Police Department worked together recently to seize a large amount of drugs and money during a traffic stop on Interstate 20.
