The Van Zandt County Sheriff ’s Office released the following arrest report from Oct. 10Oct.

Three items that were on a closed session agenda at the conclusion of the Van City Council’s regular monthly meeting Oct. 12 resulted in no action taken by council members following the closed-door meeting.

Gov. Greg Abbott, just hours after the Senate initially approved a school voucher measure, said he would add teacher raises and increased public school funding to the ongoing special session agenda if the Texas Legislature passes his voucher plan, the Texas Tribune reported.
