Lady Vandals close in on 20 th win

The Van Lady Vandals hit the court twice last week, kickstarting District 14-4A play with games against the Athens Lady Hornets and Wills Point Lady Tigers. Van would prevail in both contests, pushing their overall season mark to 19-4 overall.

The Canton Eaglettes renewed their longstanding rivalry with Wills Point Jan. 7, playing host to the Wills Point Lady Tigers. Canton would go on to prevail in the contest, fending off a stiff Wills Point challenge to secure a 53-44 victory.

Mustangs fall in OT heartbreaker

The Martins Mill Mustangs had their hands full last week, playing host to a Class 4A Brownsboro team that boasted an 18-3 record overall on the season. Martins Mill would come up just short in the contest, battling their way into overtime before narrowly falling 50-49 to the Bears.
