As I transition from my role as a college coach to General Manager and Assistant Head Football Coach of a new professional team in a new league, I reflect on the incredible journey at Texas A&M University- Commerce, now called East Texas A&M University. Over the past six years, I’ve had the privilege of being part of the first staff in school history to win 11 games in our inaugural season, making it to the third round of the D2 playoffs.

Dear Friends, A proposed lithium-ion battery storage facility in Van Zandt County has the potential to harm public safety, the environment, and the future well-being of our county. Last month, I urged the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to delay the Amador Energy Storage Project until critical safety, environmental, and community concerns are addressed.

The American people have spoken and rejected the left’s socialist agenda which would have taken our country to a place we have never been before. This election should not have ever been as critical as it was but developed that way due to our own complacency.

As these criminals establish themselves in major metropolitan centers from New York to Dallas, they bring not just violence but a new challenge to our law enforcement agencies.

Ever listened to two people or two groups argue? Both opponents believe there is only one real truth, MINE!! Doesn’t matter how loudly the other side yells. Doesn’t make a difference how many facts the other side lays out and cites triumphantly.

Dear Editor: Van Zandt County was awarded a grant from the Texas Historical Commission to cover the cost of the full restoration of the VZCO Courthouse. The $9.5 MILLION grant would have covered the cost of the restoration.

Two-month-old Lydia suddenly feels uncomfortable, so she begins twisting her little head back and forth, whimpering, and when that doesn’t bring her mom, she begins shifting her body around. According to her beliefs, that lady in-waiting has only one function in life, to attend to Lydia’s every whim and need.

Americans’ right to speak their minds is considered sacred, which is why we must fight to protect the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Citizens Participation Act (TCPA).
