August 15, 1938 - March 29, 2025

Church Family and Prayer Warriors, With both sorrow and joy in our hearts, we share that our beloved sister in Christ, Sue Burnett, went home to be with the Lord March 29.

She was surrounded by the love of her life for 64 years, Duke, along with their children, as they sang her into heaven.

One final breath on earth, and the next, her first in heaven, where she is now healed, whole, and in the presence of her Savior.

Sue lived her life with J.O.Y., Jesus first. Others second. Yourself last... a word she cherished and embodied so beautifully.

Her unwavering faith, selfless love, and servant’s heart were a testimony to the JOY of the Lord that carried her through every season.

Please keep Duke, their children, and their precious family in your prayers during this time of earthly loss, as they grieve yet rejoice in the hope of eternity and knowing they will be together again one day.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18.

“You will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” – Psalm 16:11.

May we honor Sue’s legacy by living with that same JOY, putting Jesus first, loving others as well as Sue loved her family and friends, and trusting in the promise of God’s Word.

May we all turn to Jesus Christ (as Sue would want) for strength, comfort, and peace as we pray the same for the Burnett family.
