George Tracy Jumper
1963-2021
George Tracy Jumper of Chandler, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021. He was born to Luke and Willie Mae Stephens Jumper in Athens on Aug. 18, 1963.
Tracy was a devoted husband to his wife Sadie of almost 30 years. He spent his lifetime loving his family and friends, helping people and animals. He had a great love for music, motorcycles, nature, and was a fantastic drummer. Tracy spent years working as ranch foreman at Black Beauty Ranch where he had great stories to tell about his buddy NIM the chimp, and his elephant girls. Tracy and Sadie had great adventures together, including the move to Arizona for his Harley Mechanic degree.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Mae Stephens Jumper, and brother-in-law Carl Walsh.
Survivors include his loving wife Sadie; father, Luke Jumper; mother-in-law Pauletta Jolley; sister, Wanda Walsh; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Leah Jumper; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James and Robin Black; brother-in-law Gregg McKinney; beloved nieces and nephews: Donnie Paul Walsh, Shirley Ann Walsh, Chelsea Whitman and husband Russ Sacs, Jenny Whitman, Lorna Mewbourn and husband Brandon, Hanna Koonce and husband Thomas, Nathaniel McKinney, Courtney and Morgan Black; Greats: Lillee, Brison and Karsyn (little buddy) Bailey, Jaxson Sacs, Corbin Jumper, Colby Walsh, Paige Black, Michelle Tanner; brother and sister by choice: Doug and Mona Ballow and so many friends that he touched along the way.
Funeral services were held Aug. 28, 2021, at the Living for the Brand Cowboy Church in Athens with Bro. Terry Thomason and Bro. Rod Milsap officiating. A time of visitation and gathering with the family was held prior to the service. Services were under the direction of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
