Private family gravside services for Barbara Pauline Smith, 88, of Fruitvale, were held at Small Cemetery with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating.

Interment was in Small Cemetery, Edgewood.

Mrs. Smith passed away Jan. 11, 2022, in Grand Saline. She was born Dec. 19, 1933, in Grand Saline. She was a lifelong resident of Fruitvale and a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church. She had worked in sewing rooms in her early years. Her true passion was helping and serving others.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; Homer B. and Mable Beatrice Christopher “Momma” Morgan; three brothers, Ovilee Morgan, Roy Morgan and Jessy Morgan; and four sisters, Koot Woodrum, Hazel Wheeler, Homma Lou Lovett, and Jean Daugherty.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Billy Wayne Smith; three sons, Eddie and Robin Smith of Fruitvale, Tim and Debbie Smith of Fruitvale, and Phillip and Tanya Smith of Edgewood; sister, Lou Stanley; seven grandchildren, Corey and Amy Smith, Arica and Paul Denson, Wade and Shelby Smith, Dusty and Britni Smith, Aaron Smith, Ty and Jessica Smith, and Tim and Dora Rayner; 13 great-grandchildren, Mason Smith, Brice McCord Smith, Mattie Smith, Elle Denson, Eden Denson, Tim Rayner, Jr., Wyatt Rayner, Jessica Rayner, Bryden Wilson, Makenna Smith, Ava Smith, August Smith, and Aevery Smith and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Wade Smith, Dusty Smith, Aaron Smith, Ty Smith, Mason Smith, and Brice McCord Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Mike Peden, Bobby Davidson, Butch Grier, Gary Fisher, Ben Koonce, Eddie Stanley, Steven Wayne Autrey, Roland Wheeler, Doug Daniels, Eddie Paul Stanley, and Gayle Lovette.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Caring Hearts Hospice and LouAnn Stanley for their care of Pauline.
