Aris McWilliams

A funeral service was held for Aris Charlene McWilliams, 94, of Canton was held on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton with Bro. Steve Glosup and Bro. Phil Knott officiating.
Aris passed away peacefully at home on July 15, 2023, in Canton. She was born on Feb.17, 1929, in Clinton, Oklahoma to Henry Dow Myrick and Cordelia Dena Nevil Myrick.
Aris grew up in the Blue Ridge area and graduated from Floydada High School in West Texas. As a young lady, she worked in the family café and it was there that she met her husband, Joe Robertson Jr. The couple married on July 4, 1947. After his passing, Aris again worked at the family café and met her love, Ross McWilliams. She had 59 wonderful years with her beloved till his passing in 2009.
Aris was a devoted Christian and longtime member of Tundra Baptist Church. She was active in church as a Sunday School teacher for many years. After her children were grown, she went to school becoming a psychiatric nurse. In her free time, Aris enjoyed sewing and gardening. Aris’ pride and joy was her children and grandchildren. A day with family was always a good day. Aris will live on in the hearts and memories of all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Cordelia Myrick; husband, Joe Robertson Jr.; husband, Ross McWilliams; daughter, Pamela Medina; son, Philip McWilliams; great-grandson, Austin Schultz. Aris is survived by her son, Ronnie McWilliams and wife, Phyllis; son, Jack McWilliams and wife, Debbie; daughter, Jolene Cummings and husband, Kelvin; stepson, Bill McWilliams and wife, Teresa; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Loweida Bunnell and Joyce Taylor; sister in-law, Joellen Myrick; son in-law, Hilario Medina; and a host of other family and friends.
The Interment was at Haven of Memories Cemetery in Canton.
