“Ty Rotan is a senior at Edgewood High School and has had an outstanding cross-country career for the past four years”

Body
“Ty Rotan is a senior at Edgewood High School and has had an outstanding cross-country career for the past four years,” said EHS Cross Country Head Coach DaLinda Cassell. “He is a four-time state qualifier and a back-toback state qualifier. Ty ran a time of 17:04 and placed 45th out of 151 runners at the state meet. This was a personal record for Ty because he ran a 17:06 as a junior. Ty had tremendous dedication, work ethic, and leadership skills that goes beyond athletics. He is in the National Honor Society and helps coach youth soccer and basketball. He is truly what the student athlete is all about and how they are to represent themselves, the school, and community. We are extremely proud of all of his accomplishments and for representing Edgewood ISD well. Ty had some offers to run at the collegiate level but has decided to attend Texas Tech in the fall as a student. We want to wish Ty the best and remember, ‘Just Keep Running.’
