The Van Vandals boys’ varsity track team placed second while the Lady Vandal girls’ finished fourth in their division during the Canton Eagle Relays March 27 at Norris Birdwell Stadium. In the boys’ division, Van finished with 115 points trailing only the host school, Canton, which ended up with 133 points.

Future authors can show off their talent in the Grand Saline Friends of the Library Young Writers Contest with entries due on May 2. The contest is open to Grand Saline ISD and home school students in grades six through 12.

The Van Zandt County/Sarah Norman Library in Canton will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at the library.
