September 27, 1939 - March 30, 2025 Lee Ray Foster, 85, of Forney passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Sunnyvale. He was born on September 27, 1939, in Canton to Joseph Benjamin Foster and Sarah Lovie Lawley Foster.

June 15, 1945 - March 29, 2025 Isidro Leija Cervantes, 79, of Wills Point passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Tyler. The family received friends Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

The Canton Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has announced a Groundbreaking Ceremony for a significant expansion of Industrial Park #1, located at 1171 Industry Drive, Canton. The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7.

An estimated 20 citizens were in attendance April 1 for a Town Hall Meeting at Van City Hall to discuss an upcoming $3.5 million Bond Election scheduled for May 3.
