Body Leadership Van Zandt County recognized their Class 5 graduates June 4 during a special ceremony at The Silver Spur Resort in Canton.

Body 1971 – 2024 Services for Mr. Robert D’Wayne Nix, 52, of Fruitvale, were held Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, with Billy Pannell, Eddie Paul Stanley, and Bailey McCartney officiating.

Body 1951 – 2024 Terry Hunter, 72, of Edgewood, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024, at his home. Terry was born July 28, 1951, in Dallas to Bobby Joe and Bobbie Irene Ferguson Hunter.

Body 1932 – 2024 Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Pendleton, 91, of Edgewood were held Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation was held one hour prior to service time.

Body 1961 – 2024 Erica Jo Haptonstall Jessup, 62, passed away peacefully at Hospicare Ithaca on May 10. Erica enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 after completing high school early.
