1933-2023 A funeral service to celebrate Billy Ross Flowers’ life will was held on August 5, 2023, at Hiett’s Ly-Brand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Billy Ross Flowers, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and gifted musician, peacefully passed away on August 2, 2023, at his home in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 89.

In a 3-0 vote, the Van Zandt County Commissioners Court agreed to implement a 90-day burn ban, effective immediately, during a special called meeting Aug. 7.
