Roach named as new VHS Principal by Van School Board

Following a special closed executive session April 28, the Van School Board announced the hiring of Jake Roach as the new principal at Van High School. Roach takes over for Jeff Hutchins, who was recently promoted to Director of Operations at Van ISD after serving 12 years as VHS Principal.

Early voting ends for city, school elections

Local athletes advance to State Meet

Track and field athletes from across Van Zandt County made their way to sites across East Texas April 28-29, competing at their respective Regional Meets for an opportunity to adto State. Class 4A Region II Meet Athletes representing the county’s three largest school districts, Canton, Van and Wills Point, made their way to Texas A&M - Commerce April 28-29 to square off against the best 4A competitors from Region II.
