Woodrow ‘Woody’ Wylie Joslin

Services for Mr. Woodrow ‘Woody’ Wylie Joslin, 71, of Grand Saline, were held Monday, January 13, 2025, at Main Street Baptist Church with Bro. David Crain, Mike Jennings, and Bear Brown officiating.
Interment followed in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
‘Woody’ Joslin passed away on January 9, 2025, in Grand Saline. Born on July 15, 1953, in Grand Saline to Woodrow and Mildred Faye Wortman Joslin, Woody lived a life marked by service, dedication, and passion. A graduate of Grand Saline High School, he pursued further education at Henderson County Junior College. Woody devoted several years to camp ministry, serving at Aspendale Baptist Encampment in Cloudcroft, New Mexico for five years and later at Camp Copass in Denton for two years. He eventually returned to Grand Saline to assist his mother in caring for his ailing father. Following a 20-year career with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Woody retired and dedicated himself to his lifelong passion for agriculture. He raised crossbred cattle and registered rodeo bulls full-time until his passing. Woody’s legacy is one of commitment to his community and the values he held dear. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Woody is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheri Lynn Joslin; sister, Annette Faye Joslin; and sister-in-law, Judy Stone.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Leslie Stone Joslin of Grand Saline; two daughters, Jenny Williams and husband, Josh, of Grand Saline, and Erin Miller and husband, Aaron, of Grand Saline; sister, Mary Joslin Anthony and husband, Brian, of Lake Whitney; eight grandchildren, Joslin Miller Evans and husband, Ethen; Jackson Miller, Jaron Miller, Cameron Martinez, Tyler Martinez, Brenna Williams, Brylee Williams, and Breagan Williams; three great-grandchildren, Margot Cheri Evans, Creed Miller, and Rowyn Miller; two brothers-inlaw, Wylie Stone and wife, Diane, of Fruitvale, and Randy Stone of Grand Saline; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Wayne Clark, Danny Fears, Mike Jennings, Stephen Autry, Tim Wilson, and Bear Brown.
The family receuved friends Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Bartley Funeral Home.
