Sue Ragle
1953-2023
by her two sons and daughters-in-law. Sue Ragle was born in Nashville, Arkansas on Aug. 13, 1953, to Robbie Virgil and Alice Verlene Jester. She attended Mineral Springs all 12 years and was voted as Miss MSHS, student council president, most athletic, friendliest, best school spirit and best all around. To know Sue was to love her and that started at a young age.
Sue married Ricky Ragle on Oct. 11, 1980, and had two sons, Heath and Corley. Sue had been a resident of Canton since 1986 and worked alongside her family at Canton Paint and Body for over 30 years. She worked over 12 hours a day, six days a week at the Body Shop and loved building a business with her late husband, Ricky, and son, Corley. Sue loved sports, camping with her family, barge rides, being a mom, but most importantly, being a Gigi to her six grandchildren. She also loved sleepovers with her grandchildren, weekends at the lake and story time with the grands. There weren’t many games that she didn’t attend, whether on a soccer, football or baseball field, or basketball court. One of her biggest pleasures was making sure her grandchildren knew how much they are loved, cared for, believed in, and prayed for. Sue was a member of First Baptist Church in Canton, and sealed her salvation at seven years old.
Mrs. Ragle is preceded in death by her husband, Ricky Ragle, and her parents, Robbie Virgil and Alice Verlene Jester.
Sue is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: Heath and Ashley Ragle, and Corley and Kara Ragle; six grandchildren: Easton, 10; Everly, 8; Kylee, 7; Ella, 5; Avery, 5, and Cade, 5; two brothers and their wives: Robbie Dean and Gayle Jester, and Ricky and Anita Jester; three sisters: Phyllis Kay and Robert Sanders; Malinda and Jeff Winton, and Peggy and Ken Friday, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Curtis, Nick Box, Lance Gary, Lance Jester, Rob Jester, Zack Winton, Cody Friday, Remington Jester and Jonovan Jordan. Visitation was on March 25 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to venmo-@cancercharity or at Texas Bank and Trust in Canton for travel expenses for cancer patients.
