Stephen Bennett Hill, 47, ofAllen passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 12, 2024.

Born on January 3, 1977, to Dr. Richard Lionel Hill and Gail Frances Bennett in Tyler, Stephen was renowned for his unwavering faith in God and his involvement with the Suncreek United Methodist Church, where he both worshiped and participated in the choir. A proud alumnus of Centenary College of Louisiana, he was an active choir member there as well. Stephen furthered his education by earning a Doctorate in Dental Science from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. Post-graduation, he practiced dentistry in Sugar Land for several years. In 2009, Stephen, along with his family, moved to Allen where he established Hill Dental Studio. Most recently, Stephen transitioned Hill Dental Studio to Star Dental Partners, where he served as Chief Dental Officer mentoring dentists in Texas and the southeast. Stephen was also a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry.

Stephen was a cherished son, father, partner, brother, uncle, and friend whose impact was felt deeply by all who knew him through crawfish boils, aviation, and scouting.

He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Richard Lionel Hill. He leaves behind his sons Cavett and Kendrick Hill; his partner Katrena Hart and sons, Brooks and Tyler, of Allen; his mother Gail Hill; his brother John Hill; his sister and her husband, Karen andAustin Beckham of Grand Saline; his sister and her husband, Lynn and Skip Heizer of Scottsdale, Arizona; and several nephews and a niece; many great-nieces and great-nephews; Jennifer Hill, mother to Cavett and Kendrick; and a community of friends who will profoundly miss him.

A Memorial Service was held Monday, May 20 at Suncreek United Methodist Church in Allen with a graveside service that followed at Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Suncreek United Methodist Youth or Music Ministries.
