Ronnie ‘Ron’ Kay Crumpler

Services for Ronnie ‘Ron’ Kay Crumpler 75, of Canton were held Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Crossroads Church in Canton with Brother Mark Robinson officiating. Ron’s body was laid to rest at Holly Springs Cemetery in Martins Mill. Visitation / viewing was at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, and on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.
Ron entered into the gates of heaven, running into the arms of Jesus May 18, 2024. He was surrounded by his family until his last breath here on earth. Ron was born on October 4, 1948, in El Dorado, Arkansas to Eddie Edward Crumpler and Mary Elizabeth Hobby Crumpler.
Ron graduated from Smackover High School in 1967, then graduated from the University of Arkansas- Fayetteville in 1974 with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
Ron married his high school sweetheart, Rose Ann Nelson Crumpler, in 1967.
After graduating from college, Ron was hired by Dow Chemical and moved to Texas. During his time in Texas, Ron owned his own carpentry company. In 1987, Ron moved his family to Ohio when Dow Chemical promoted and transferred him there to manage a specialized group of computer consultants until 1989 when he was promoted again and was transferred to Dow Chemical’s world headquarters in Midland, Michigan to manage another computer consulting group. Ron retired form Dow Chemical in 1993 and moved back to Texas, settling in Carrolton. Ron continued to work in managing computer consulting groups with his own company as well as for CCAI, EDS, Ernest and Young, and KLA. Ron retired from consulting in 1999 due to an illness. In 1996, Ron and his family built and ran Crumpler Ranch, later named Rock High Ranch, a Christian retreat/ bed and breakfast/ wedding venue, until 2017.
Ron loved God, his family, his church, and fishing. Ron was a Deacon/ Elder and teacher in every church he ever attended. Ron loved Crossroads Church in Canton more than anything.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents; Ed and Mary Crumpler, three brothers; Eddie, Delbert, and Larry; two sisters, Frances Fuller and Kathy McLelland, and many other friends and family.
Ron is survived by the love of his life, Rose Crumpler, his son; Michael (Bonni) Crumpler of Canton; daughter; Kimberly (James) Cuddie of Beaverton, Michigan; and son; John Crumpler of Ohio; grandchildren; Nickolas, Caleb, Steven, Eric, Kaylin (Noah), Sarah, Kari, and Julie; three great grandchildren; brother; Terry (Linda) Crumpler, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the building fund for Crossroads Church in Canton.
