Ronnie Nix Addison, 77, of Canton went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2022, in Tyler and is no longer in pain in his earthly body.

Ronnie was born on January 25, 1945, in Denton to the late John and Della Mae Addison. Ronnie lived in Canton for the majority of his life. Prior to retirement, he was a truck driver. Ronnie loved tinkering around with his tools, shopping on the Home Shopping Network, watching documentaries, making people laugh and spending time with family and friends.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Donnie Addison; sister, Jo Dunaway; brother, Ricky Addison; daughter, Rhonda Jean Garnett and son, Rodney Cassidy Addison.

Ronnie leaves behind three biological children: son, Ronnie Scott Addison and fiancé, Alicia Suarezdehuma; daughter, Tina Addison Jones; daughter, Brenda Jo Addison and husband, Chris Harder. He also leaves behind three bonus children that he raised, daughter, Jennifer Foster and husband, John; daughter, Cristie Guy and husband, Israel, and son, James Holley Jr.

Ronnie loved his grandbabies which include, Brittney Burns and husband, Aramis; Zuri Anna Guerra, Jerrod Levi Jones, Crystal Ann Jones, Haley Erin Marshall, Brianna Nix Harder, Christopher Kaine Harder, Hadley Segura and husband, Stephen, Ashton Guy, Caleb Guy, Issie Tuma, and Ace Holley.

Some other important survivors include his great-grandchildren, Kinzie and Lincoln, as well as a special, more like a son than a nephew, Rickey John Addison and wife, Lauren.

A special thank you to Nancy Land, Ronnie’s previous wife, who remained a close friend, companion, and caretaker to Ronnie, until the last day of his life.

A private graveside service will be held in the near future.
