Rhea Lene Stinson Nations passed away on March 12, 2026, at 3:31 p.m. in Tyler, surrounded by her loved ones, and went to meet her Lord and Savior.

Rhea Lene was born in Tyler on February 6, 1953, to Juana and Bob Stinson. She grew up in Chandler and later moved to Van.

She married Jackie Nations on December 19, 1970. She attended Van Schools, Tyler Jr. College, and UT Tyler, graduating with a master’s degree in education. She taught high school math and ESL for 22 years before retiring.

Her greatest love was for her husband, her daughter, nephew-son, and eight grandchildren. Her ministry was to teach kids not only math but the good news of Jesus Christ. She enjoyed singing with the musical group, 541, and being a big part of the Clearview Church near Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juana and Bob Stinson; her sister, Deborah Davis; her brothers, Johnny Ray Helms and George Stinson; and her sisterin-law, Ramona Nations.

Rhea Lene is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Jackie Nations; daughter, Eryka and her husband, Nathan; grandchildren, Hadassah, Hazel, Shepherd, Haven, and Moses Sewell of Tyler; nephew- son Eryc and his wife, Denese; grandchildren Tyler, Dylan, and Lexi Wollitz of South Lyon, Michigan, and many relatives and dear friends.

A memorial service will be at Hilliard’s Funeral Home in Van, on April 2, 2026, starting at noon. Visitation will be one hour before the memorial service with Mike Calhoun officiating.
