1930 - 2024

Marion H. Davis, affectionately known as “Davis,” passed away peacefully on January 31, 2024, in Tyler, at the age of 94, to be with his Lord and Savior.

Marion proudly served his country as a veteran in the U.S. Army, dedicating a couple of years to his service. He then embarked on a successful career with Amoco, where he devoted 29+ years before retiring.

Marion was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Cathy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Neva, his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Gary, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Marion found joy in his passions, particularly his cattle, which he tended to with care and dedication. He also enjoyed the camaraderie and tournament play of Party Bridge and cherished the time spent with his family above all else. For over 50 years, Marion and Neva called Canton, home, where they built countless memories and friendships within the community. Marion’s outgoing nature and infectious smile endeared him to all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed by many.
