Louis Joseph Sylvie, 80, of Wills Point, passed away on Dec. 28, 2022, at Medical City Hospital in Lewisville.

Mr. Sylvie was born on Aug. 20, 1942, to Christoph and Ella Metoyer Sylvie. He married Ruth Olga Rachal on Dec. 20, 1962. Mr. Sylvie was a retired wastewater treatment operator for both the City of Dallas and the City of Tyler. He was a former member of The Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Canton.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two brothers, Bruce and Charlie, and two sisters, Loretta and Ann. Also, children: Marius; Andrea; Armand; Joshua, and Noel. 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sylvie had been suffering with Parkinson’s Disease.
