Jimmy Keith Ellington
1950-2022
A funeral service for Jimmy Keith Ellington, 72, of Canton, was held on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, with Vicar Ed Fiducia officiating.
Jimmy went home to the Lord on Nov. 22, 2022, in Canton. He was born on Jan. 8, 1950, in Ft. Worth, to Nelson Ellington and Marcel Kelly Ellington.
Jimmy grew up in the Garland area and graduated from Garland High School. Jimmy loved life. He met and married his true love, Diane Harris, in 1996. The couple enjoyed the good country life. They were long time members of Four Miles Lutheran Church in Mabank. Jimmy was happiest working outdoors, whether he was working/driving his tractor or his lawnmower. Jimmy was a man that would have your back, first one to volunteer to help someone or to do a project around the church. Jimmy never met a stranger; he enjoyed talking and visiting with people. Jimmy’s greatest pride was his grandchildren. The best days were days spent with family. Jimmy will be dearly missed but live on the hearts and memories of all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Ellington and Marcel Ericson; brothers, Bobby Ellington and Tommy Ellington, and uncle, Jay Ellington.
Jimmy is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Ellington; children, Dora and Wyndell Luckett, and Lorelei and Shannon Alford; grandchildren, Nathan Roach; Donald Roach, and Jamie Munoz; Hunter Luckett; Courtney Luckett and Armando Cortes; Colten Hinson and Taylor White, and Corelee and Michael Parker; sister, Barbara and Mike Ewell; brother, Donnie and Mayra Ericson; sisters-in-law, Pat Ellington and Janet Ellington; aunt, Janice Kelly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
