1936-2023

Jerry Don Hudson, 86, of Canton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, May 19, 2023. Jerry Don was born Nov. 30, 1936 in Dallas. He graduated from Martins Mill High School in 1956, joined the Army, and was stationed in Korea from 1960 to 1961. Jerry Don retired from TU Electric in 1992 after 35 years of dedicated employment. He was a devoted member of the church, an active member of the community, and the hardest working husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather that his family could ask for.

Jerry Don was preceded in death by his parents, Johnie and Zexa Mae Hudson, and is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lynda Hudson, and their children Ruth Brunner (Wes), Sharon Watson (Joe), Terri Sellers (Scott), as well as seven grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren. Jerry Don and Lynda married June 29, 1963, in Deer Park, Texas and lived and worked together in Canton for 56 years.

Services for Jerry were held at Eubanks Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pallbearers were Jerry’s grandchildren: Jason Brunner, Sarah McManaway, Justin Brunner, Corey Watson, Jeremy Brunner, Abby Sellers and Drew Sellers.
