Jequita ‘Carrol’ Plummer passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, in Richardson at the age of 60 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on October 3, 1964, in Dallas, Carrol was known for her boundless kindness and generosity. She had an open heart and an open home, always ready to offer a listening ear, a warm meal, or a place of comfort to those in need.

Her unwavering dedication to others made her a cherished presence in the lives of many. Carrol found joy in caring for others and expressing her creativity through crafts and decorating.

Her artistic spirit and nurturing nature brought warmth and beauty to everything she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marian Idell and Raymond Harvey Brannum, and her sister, Judy Brannum.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ray Plummer; her children, Matthew Plummer, Sabrina Plummer, and Jedidiah Ballard; her treasured grandchildren, Kayson Holleman, Jayden Plummer, Ryleigh Safir, and Charlotte Plummer; and her siblings, Raymond Henry Brannum and Cindy Harris.

A celebration of Carrol’s life was held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 a.m. at New Release Fellowship Baptist Church in Wills Point.
