A graveside service was held for Jeanene Marie Blackshear, 87, of Canton, Texas, on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Haven of Memories Memorial Park Cemetery in Canton, Texas, Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Jeanene was born on June 14, 1934, to Hubert Smith and Bonnie Music Smith of Hugo, Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully at her home in Canton, Texas on Aug. 12, 2021.

She was a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and aunt. She had retired from Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas. She loved to play cards and games with her family and friends. She had visit every casino that had a slot machine, enjoying the sound and excitement. Jeanene was a member of Buffalo Church of Christ. She was the best mother and grandmother. Jeanene leaves an empty place in the hearts of all that knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hebert Smith and Bonnie Caldwell and siblings, Maurine Costa, George Smith, Mack Smith and Curtis Smith.

Jeanene is survived by her daughter, Brenda Wheeler and husband, Mike of Canton; daughter, Robbin Bow of Edgewood; grandchildren, Tammy Goode and husband Lesley of Van, Jami Huddleston and husband, Corey of Canton, Brian Kirby and wife, Stacy of Crandall, and Kristen Bow of Royce City; great grandchildren, Autumn McKinney, Jordan Moore, Jacob Huddleston, Caston Kirby, Cade Huddleston, Megan Freeman, and Cooper Freeman; great great-grandchildren, Kinzlyn and Kailyn McKinney and other family, Jerry McMillan and Jack Blackshear.
