Services for Jean Clowers, 89, of Grand Saline, were held Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Glosup officiating.

Interment was in Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. Jean Jones Clowers passed away Feb. 6, 2022, in Grand Saline. She was born Sept. 5, 1932, in Edgewood, to Ira L. and Myrtle Nichols Jones. Jean spent her early years in Edgewood and moved to Grand Saline 60 years ago. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church where she was in their Gleaners SS Class, and Fun After 55 group. Jean owned and operated Jeans’ Beauty Shop in Grand Saline for over 30 years. She especially loved flowers, and enjoyed gardening, working outside, and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Clowers; two brothers, Cecil Jones and Billy Jones and two sisters, Pat Joyce and Ollie Ruth Smith.

Survivors include her son, Don Yarbrough and wife Angie of Grand Saline; two daughters, Barbara Garland, and Susan Beasley, both of Grand Saline; brother, Max Jones and wife Vaughn of Friona; three grandchildren, Leanne Browning and husband Johnathan of Flint, Rachel Hogue and husband Benjamin of Brenham, and Sarah Ballard and husband Chance of Grand Saline; two great-grandchildren, Landrey Browning and Gage Ballard and numerous other relatives and friends.

Honorary pallbearers were Brian Bass, Steve Glosup, Billy Woodrum, Michael Koonce, and Mike Rogers.
