Services for Mr. James A. Smith, 77, of Grand Saline, were held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Bro. Donnie Herring and Bro. Ronnie Wheeler officiating.

Burial was in Woodside Cemetery. Mr. Smith passed away July 24, 2023, in Tyler, surrounded by his family. He was born June 6, 1946, in the Whitton Community (Canton) area of Van Zandt County, to Robert Allen & Iva Bernice Plaster Smith.

The family received friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
