Irene Malerba, 75, of Wills Point passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at her home. Irene Field was born on January 15, 1950, in Grundy, Virginia. Ater graduating from high school, Irene proudly served her country in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. She served as a medical corpsman and received the National Defense Medal. Irene later went on to obtain her nursing degree, a field in which she was employed for most of her career. Arrangements are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
