Services for Dovie Marie Edwards, 86, of Grand Saline, were held 12 p.m., Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Bartley Funeral Home.

Interment was in Sand Flat Cemetery.

Mrs. Edwards passed away March 13, 2022, at her home. She was born November 11, 1935, in Grand Saline, to John H. & Edna Vera Kirby. Dovie married Don Edwards in 1957 and was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Nelda & Cecil Carter; and brother-in-law, Cleatus Carroll.

Survivors include her husband, Don H. Edwards of Grand Saline; son, Kyle Edwards and wife Sandy of Brownsboro; daughter, Kelly Cannon and husband John of Jarrell; sister-in-law, Jean Carroll of Grand Saline; five grandchildren, Kirby Edwards of Dallas, James Edwards and fiancé Danielle Moore of The Colony, Wade Cannon and wife Kristina of Forney, Emily Edwards of Brownsboro, and Jessica Cannon of Jarrell; two great-grandchildren, Jackson Cannon and Hudson Cannon of Forney; and beloved nieces, nephews, and adopted family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Edwards, James Edwards, Wade Cannon, Emily Edwards, Jessica Cannon, and Kristina Cannon.
