Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Brunson, 91, of Canton, were held Monday, Feb. 21, 2022, at Eubank Funeral Home in Canton. Interment was in Myrtle Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Brunson passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at her home. She was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Elkhart to Watson Mouchet and Amelia Anneta Benton Bradford.

Dorothy was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Canton. She was a lifelong homemaker who devoted her life to her family. She was always thinking of and giving to others. As a caretaker, Dorothy took care of her mother-in-law and husband during their illnesses. She enjoyed quilting and loved working in her yard where she grew flowers. She always wanted to have a pretty yard.

Mrs. Brunson is preceded in death by her husband, Amon Willard Brunson; parents, Watson and Amelia Bradford; and three brothers: Robert, Roland and Doyle.

Dorothy is survived by her three children and their spouses: Joyce and James Miller of Caddo Mills, Kenneth and Linda Brunson of Mesquite and Juanita and Harold Hatley of Point; 11 grandchildren; many great and great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters: Audrey Mae, Geraldine and Merle.

Pallbearers were Randal Gloria, Daniel Brunson, Jock Hickman, Isiah Smith, Kendall Mosher and Earl Allgood.
