Services for Bro. Jim Atkins, 84, of Silsbee, were held Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at New Horizon Assembly of God Church, Grand Saline with Bro. Randy Fisher officiating.

Interment was followed in Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Bro. Jim passed away Oct. 9, 2023, in Silsbee. He was born Aug. 3, 1939, in El Dorado, Arkansas, to Marvin Thomas and Mary Ella Estess Atkins. The family received friends Friday, October 13, 2023, at the church before the service.
