Services for Bobby Wayne Taylor, 72 of Fruitvale were held Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Visitation was held with a memorial service following at Eubank Funeral Home with Keith Allen offi ciating.
Bobby Wayne Taylor was born on December 3, 1951, in Dallas. Bobby passed away on September 5, 2024, in Tyler, with his loved ones by his side.
Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dewey and Nona Taylor; grandparents, Wayne and Mable Chambers; father, Bobby Gene Taylor; sister, Karen Thompson and brother, Randy Taylor.
Bobby is survived by his mother, Janie Taylor of Fruitvale; wife, Donna Taylor of Fruitvale; brother, Ronnie Taylor of Fruitvale; son, Jeremy Taylor and wife, Stephanie, of Fruitvale; daughters: Wendy Taylor of Fruitvale, and Jennifer Taylor of Fruitvale; seven grandchildren: Haley, Trent, Gage, Gavin, Ashlyn, Adisyn, and Emma; and one great-grandchild: Mia; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bobby grew up in Fruitvale, graduated from Edgewood, and remained in the Fruitvale area for the rest of his life. In high school, he met the love of his life, Donna Taylor, and they remained married for 52 years. Bobby used his charm to have a successful career as a food salesman, where he won numerous sales awards. Bobby also spent several years serving as a Fruitvale ISD school board member and president. He loved supporting the athletic programs, especially when his kids or grandkids participated. He spent many years as the voice of the Bobcats during the high school football games.
Out of all these things, he loved his family the most. Bobby’s warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
